The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.J. Condon, rider of Jacovec Cavern (GB), concerning the first false start in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider who stated that the start is poorly positioned but accepted that he was in breach of the rule. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R. J. Condon was in breach of Rule 208, in that he had put his mount into a trot or canter with a view to taking any advantage before the race is started, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended R. J. Condon for one raceday.
