Permission was given for Zambezi Magic (GB) and Blue Hero to be mounted on the course and to go to post early wearing a red hood.
Bobby Dassler (IRE) ran the previous day, 13th September 2025, at Bath, finishing second of twelve runners.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
The apparent improvement in from of the winner The Dark Baron (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
The representative of Kathy Turner’s explanation that the gelding benefitted from a drop in trip from one mile and six furlongs on its last start at Salisbury, to one and quarter miles today was noted.
The Dark Baron (IRE) was routine tested.
Rounding the turn for home, Spinning Dancer (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed due to its saddle slipping and in doing so, took POSTIVIA, unplaced, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Ashley Lewis reported that his saddle slipped on Spinning Dancer (IRE), unplaced, rounding the turn for home.
