Permission was given for Michaela's Boy (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start; for Dark Cloud Rising (GB) and Grandlad (IRE) to both go early to post and to be mounted in the chute; for Marching Mac (IRE) to go early wearing a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Mondammej (GB) which had been unruly leaving the parade ring and refused to go to post.
The representative of Antony Brittain was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also been unruly at York on 15 May 2025 and at Southwell on 1 March 2025 the matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Inside the final furlong Grandlad (IRE), unplaced, lugged marginally right-handed giving a bump to Paddy's Day (IRE), unplaced, and carrying that gelding off its intended line at the same time as the winner, Dark Cloud Rising (GB), shifted slightly left-handed.
This resulted in Badri (GB), placed fifth, being crowded for room and its rider having to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and had not improved the placing of Dark Cloud Rising (GB).
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Badri (GB), placed fifth, suffered interference inside the final furlong.
Alex Jary reported that Paddy's Day (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference inside the final furlong.
