Formscan By Michael Graham - The handicapper didn't miss FLAGSTONE LADY's (1) victory at this track, but she could be progressive enough to defy the 11lb rise. She had been finding her stride with a placed effort in Roscommon on penultimate start. She remains in the 0-60 grade, despite the hike in the weights, which could be crucial. Augusta Rock secured his best finish when runner-up at this venue in July and there should be a race to be won with him. Thegooseiscooked finds it hard to win, but has been placed in two of his last three handicaps which brings him into contention. Reserve Cleopatra's Needle could have a say if getting the call.

Roscommon was a big step forward. The penny only dropped with her in Roscommon in the last couple of furlongs. She's a filly that we always thought was capable of winning a couple of races when the penny dropped. We came out of Roscommon quite hopeful for tonight, and she was fresh and well during the week, and we said we would let her take her chance. Just delighted for all the guys, it means a lot to them, and it is a great result. She's a filly that stays well, she's learning with racing, and she is going to continue on improving.

It is good to be back! She loves it around here. She has been breaking badly lately over a mile and a-quarter - very quick at home, but breaking badly. A mile and a-half, she has more time to get to the bend. He (Hassett) told me at the start this was the plan, he was going to get her out smart and maybe give her one behind the saddle if we have to. I have to say with Wayne, it is like you are talking to Seamie (Heffernan) or Niall McCullagh. He's very good and a great understanding of a horse. She’s been running great. She’s in again tomorrow (Cork) and we’ll see how she is in the morning. I thought it might cut up a bit and I’d say it did a bit, so we’ll see in the morning if she takes her chance. We’ll give her a trot out and let her out for an hour. We might take her chance, she can have a rest after it then. She’s been very disappointing overall. We actually broke her as a young horse for John Breslin and she went to Tony Mullins and he thought an awful lot of her. We got her back and she was working like a 90 horse, but she was only rated 50. I told John (Breslin, breeder) to forget about her. We ran her in Dundalk a few times and sent her home and he gave her to the man that looks after the farm for him. He ended up putting a syndicate together, I told him he was mad!. That’s four runs now and she’s been third, second twice and now won. They baffle us sometimes, her and Mephisto have baffled me. They just turn a corner and there is no reason for it. She can run over hurdles as well, as she has a mark over hurdles. She’s turned out to be a great fun horse for the lads.

I just thought I'd keep it simple, I got all the gaps and it worked. It's a big deal (to get the win) and I'm a bit shocked to be honest, but I really enjoyed it. I'm 23 and from north Co. Dublin. I'm with Dermot McLoughlin, Gavin Cromwell, Bill Durkan and Henry de Bromhead. I do bits and pieces everywhere. I try to spread myself around and it's working well. My agent Gary Cribbin got me on this lad and got me a nice ride tomorrow (Lord Erskine in the Galway Hurdle), so he's doing a marvellous job and I can't thank him enough. I never sat on this mare before today to be honest, but speaking to Kieren Buckley, Sean Flanagan and Harry Rogers, they filled me with loads of confidence, so I was happy to take the chance and it worked. The people that own her (the Nap Racing Syndicate) love coming here and it’s great to have a winner here. She’s not a bad filly. That's the first time that young chap has ridden for me. Gary Cribbin, his agent, put him on to me and you couldn't ask for any better. I honestly thought she had a great chance but I thought the ground might be gone on her, I thought it was gone a little bit on the slow side. In fairness she did it well, I don't know whether she'd go on any softer than that but she's done it.
