Buttons And Bows We are delighted with her. We thought the trip might be a bit short today but we felt she might get away with it, with the pull up to the finish here. I told the young fella to take his time and that she would stay well up the hill,. She is a lovely mare and will probably be better over further. She just got away with the ground today, if it was any firmer I wouldn't have ran her as she is a big mare. Her mother won for me and JP as well. I actually sold her to JP and then he gave me this one out of her so it's brilliant.

Run For Mary She jumped very big but she'll come on plenty for it, although she will need to. She jumped the first few okay but then lost her way a bit. She had been schooling alright at home but hadn't been away at all. She will go for some mares' races, and should get further. She finds plenty and was the same in bumpers.

Flirting Lesa I’d like to thank Jessica Harrington. I ride out for her in the morning and she allows me use her gallops which is great help. She’s a lovely woman to work for and she’s been a great help to me. Niall rides out in Jessie’s as well. He’s a very good rider and is underestimated as he doesn’t get many rides.

Colreevy Niall (Flynn, owner) rang me up the other day and said she'd won the mares bumper last year so let's go for the Champion bumper. I thought 'well why not',. He was hoping that she might get some black-type and finish second or third. Jamie worked the oracle and managed to squeeze a win out of her. She goes jumping now. She's a fine big mare, she can jump and she'll go over fences eventually.

Impact Factor We might have been lucky but Robbie thought he was going as well as anything. He’s fairly wayward and he could easily have run out after them!. It’s great to have a bit of luck on your side. He’s had a wind op since his last run and will head to Punchestown now.

Topofthegame I’ve always thought he is a very smart horse, he has not been the easiest to train but on his day he is good. I didn’t say much to Harry on how to ride him, but just take your time whatever you do, and he gave him an absolute brilliant ride. He is nearly 18 hands and is just massive. I didn’t want to go to the Reynoldstown with him and give him a hard race. I just had to get the balance right. We’ve always believed he is a serious horse. Today was the only day we have trained him for and next year it will be the Gold Cup. With Clan (Des Obeaux) and the other young horses we’ve got it is exciting to have them, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and you have just got to let them develop. He is not unlike Denman and God willing he will stay sound he will be in the Gold Cup. Paul (Barber) is excited as he has him and Clan Des Obeaux.

Aint Dunne Yet Because he’s by Flemensfirth I always thought he wouldn’t like good ground but he floated around Fairyhouse last week and because he came home so well that’s why I stuck him in here,. Even on Friday morning Noel (O’Brien, owner/breeder) was saying I’m not sure about running him but I said we’d leave it until the last minute and hopefully the rain will come which it did. Even before racing it was still quite quick. All he had to do was stand up there I suppose but we’ll paddle on and see where we go. He could go for a novice handicap at Fairyhouse, and I’d say two and a half would suit him a lot better.

Jetz That was grand. I only declared him when I saw there were so few in it. I thought it looked rather a hot race when I looked at it at the entry stage and I thought it was much too competitive. Robbie wasn't going to be able to be here either. I said we'd come when I saw there were only three there. Paul said he's very leery in front, and looks at everything, but he did it well. He said once he jumped the first fence he jumped super, very safe and a great jump in him. I don't know where he'll go. He's in at Cheltenham but I don't think he'll go there. The twice he's won this year has been here over two-one. We'll go two or two-and-a-half, whatever comes up.

Cher Why Not It was great to get a win and you won't get a more honest horse. He is not the quickest but he keeps trying; I thought turning in he had a bit too much to do but he keeps going,. He needed a good leap at the last and he got it. He is an improving horse and that's his fourth run since January 1 over that sort of trip and it's tough on them but he's taking it well. We'll probably give him an easy time for a few weeks now and then we'll see if he can get some more nice ground.
