Cork Tue, 19th May, 2026  Deuteronomy He is a lovely little horse, he is special to us and I'm delighted for Tony (McLoughlin, owner) who is a great help to me. He is competitive down in this 0-60 grade and was only beaten a length in this race last year. A big thanks to Conor O'Dwyer for ringing me early this morning to say his horse was a non-runner, so we got in as third reserve.

Navan Sat, 16th May, 2026  Namiid I called him after a horse I rode called Namid, who won the Prix de l’Abbaye in 2000. This horse has plenty of speed but I'm not sure he'll win an Abbaye!. he's been second a few times, but Ben says he seems genuine, he just seems to run into one each time. I thought five furlongs here would suit him, and this is my lucky track! . He had the rating to win today but fought and that's exactly what Ben said. It looked like the runner-up (Xerling) was coming and the loose horse helped him motivate him.

Cork Sun, 3rd May, 2026  Key Witness the story is now well known about me buying this horse at the sales, as while there were about 500 horses there, this fella walked by and I said to my wife Catherine that ‘that is a racehorse’. He was also by Acclamation so I bought him. I might look for a race at Royal Ascot now and I think he is a seven-furlongs horse so will look at the Buckingham Palace Stakes. I thought the mile was too long for him the last day, so at Ascot it would definitely be too long. It would appear he needs easy ground at the moment so fast ground at Ascot would be a concern but we’ll see, and if anyone wants a runner at Royal Ascot, they can find my number. If you wouldn’t buy this horse, what would they buy!

Gowran Park Wed, 22nd Apr, 2026  Chirac It was trainer-error dropping him to five furlongs the last day and the step up to seven helped him,. He was standing in the stalls for a while today, which was nobody's fault, but it wasn't ideal for a horse having only his second run in a handicap. He is quite laid-back and fell asleep a bit but he ran well. He was down in that 0-60 grade so was entitled to do that and he is a nice enough horse. He will be fine on faster ground and can step up another furlong in trip as he wasn't stopping at the line. He is a grand horse.

Myself and my wife Catherine were in Newmarket (at the sales) looking at all the horses and the next thing this one passed by, and I said to Catherine ‘that’s a racehorse’ so we went in and bought him. He’s by a very good sire and we’re delighted. This is his first run of the year and he did it the hard way, from a bad draw. He’ll probably get a few pounds for that and we’ll go for the big-ish handicaps with him over seven furlongs to a mile.

Dundalk Wed, 28th Jan, 2026  Exquisite Acclaim A horse like him, he's very consistent - he always gets his couple of races. It is great to get him back in front. He's a great fun horse and he pays his way. There's a race in Newcastle next week, it is 35 grand, and we might slip into it. It is for 0-85s, I think. We'll have to see with the ratings, but we might go there.
