Andy Dufresne He's a nice horse. He did everything right and Mark said he showed loads of pace. He said you could even bring him back to two miles,. He's in the Royal Bond, obviously I have to talk to Frank (Berry) and all the lads. We thought a lot of him last year, we minded him. He's still not the finished article, he's still a big weak horse. Mark said he showed an awful lot of pace and thought he was actually going too slow the whole way, thought he was hacking. I stepped him out to two-and-a-half because I thought at home he was just a bit lackadaisical, a bit sleepy. That was good and we're very happy.

Beacon Edge watching it I was a bit disappointed as I thought he’d travel through the race a bit better. Rachael thought she’d have won (when the other horse fell at the last). I was a bit disappointed when he got to the front how lairy he was from there to the line when he was left on his own. I do think he’s a very nice horse and he might even be better over further, although he did show us plenty of boot last year. He did stay well in those bumpers we ran him in. He has jumped very well at home and didn’t jump as well there but I’m sure he will come on for the run.

Lucky Phil She deserved that. She was very unlucky in Listowel and again got hampered in the beginners chase at Sligo,. Her wind was catching her prior to that. She’s had it done three times and seems to be finishing out her races better now after getting it done the third time. Before Listowel she was cutting out in the last 100 yards. She has loads of pace and ran a cracker in a Flat maiden at Sligo. Next year she could run on the Flat and over hurdles and fences.

Swordsman He's the first proper winter horse we've ran. We've winter ground now and finished one-two so happy days,. I'd say he could go up in trip and he'll win plenty of races. It's good for Jack (Kennedy), he's only back from an injury so it's nice for him to get a winner.

Wake Up Early It was great that he won as I was doubting that he would work out for us,. His early form over hurdles and fences was poor enough and I don't think it was an extra special race but it was great to come out of the right side of it and win. We thought he was in good order and were hoping he'd run well but it was an ordinary contest and he was at the right end of it today with the low weight and soft ground in his favour. It's great to have a winner as I haven't had one in a long time and thanks to J.P. for supporting me, he has one other horse with me. It is hard to find good ones but we'll keep trying. We'll see how he comes out of the race, it was a tough enough race and we'll have a chat with Frank (Berry, racing manager) and see.

Above The City That's great - Patrick's first ride for me and a winner. We hadn't one good enough for him to ride before now!. He said she was green in front. She was a bit upset in the ring too and she hadn't done that before. I think she'll be good when she jumps a hurdle. It'll shorten the drive home - Little Haarth was unlucky earlier in a messy race [fourth in the extended two mile five handicap hurdle].
