The Big Lense He was a disappointing horse but he's starting to go the right way now. Hopefully he's on a winning curve and he might keep going. He didn't mind the ground, he seemed to like it okay. It's good ground but the boys say it's safe.

Nibblers Charm it's hard to know what to make of him - we put the cheekpieces on him to see if we could get him to travel today. He's lazy and he is switching on and off. He travelled ok today but at the top of the hill you would wonder. He toughed it out well in fairness to him and we would be happy enough with him. He jumped very well today and will jump a fence but we'll probably stay hurdling for the minute. We'll stay aiming small for the minute and see how we go. I've only had a handful of runners up here and he is my first winner here. The man who bred the horse (John Magee) is from up here, so it is nice.

Bective Cave He'll go over fences now - I think he is around 89 over fences so we will see. I knew if they didn't get too much rain and the ground stayed good he would be hard to beat. He was in good old form.

Nibblers Charm We were very disappointed with him the last day when we put a hood on him and he completely switched off and never travelled. Ryan (Treacy, jockey then) thought he flipped his palate coming down the straight so we said we'd stick the tongue-tie on him and ride him up with the pace. Donie (McInerney) said he was falling asleep racing down the back straight and had to give him a smack but hopefully that might buck him up now. He needs to grow up a bit, we'll keep him on the go and we'll look to go back to Listowel for a race there in September.

Celtic Dancer He’s been a good little servant and never jumped as well as he did this evening. He’s always been a poor jumper but he jumped super there and it made the difference. If he jumps as well as he did this evening he could win again. He definitely seems to jump the Easifix Hurdles better than the traditional hurdles. The extra two furlongs made an awful difference to him and he probably would stay further. I’d be more inclined to be going up in distance than back with him. He’s not a horse that you can run every week. He won’t run for three or four weeks now, and he could go to Killarney.

Celtic Dancer I thought he was done on the photo but it seems to favour this side. He gave him a fine ride - he's a lovely horse but he's not the best jumper in the world. He tends to make mistakes when you really need to keep him in his race but seems to jump the Easyfix hurdles better than the traditional ones. He is progressive and he's entered at Killarney on Thursday and we'll have a look at that.

Bective Cave He looked beat and Paul gave him a great ride. I said to Pat (Keating) today that if he was going to win again it would be today. He's in good form, the ground suited him and he's won here before. He was back down to a mark that he was capable of winning off as well.

Plan Of Attack He probably wasn’t as good as he was in Clonmel, and Barry thought he didn’t travel and jump as well. He’s been in quite a while and only had a short break around Christmas so we might back off him now. There is not many staying novice chases anyhow so we might back off him until October. There is a nice staying novice in Cheltenham then so we might look at that.
