Punchestown Sun, 23rd Nov, 2025  Desertmore House He loves it now. It was his first (cross-country) run here in the La Touche in the spring and he was good. . We had him here the other day just for a pop around and he was looking for the next bank. He was just attacking the whole thing, and I thought he’d run a big race. . We’ll probably aim for Cheltenham in the spring, and I’d say he’ll love it around there too.

Clonmel Thu, 2nd Oct, 2025  Sallap Willie (Cleary, owner) bred her, so this is job done. She is a tiny little thing, she’s only 15 hands, and I’d say that could have been her day. She had an ok run in Ballinrobe but ran no race the last day in Wexford, so we were clutching at straws today and just rode her to run well. I’d say she enjoyed that ground.

Downpatrick Fri, 19th Sep, 2025  High Court Cave I was in two minds to go for the handicap hurdle or the maiden and it was a flick of a coin - it turned out alright!. He's a very useful jockey and rides him out at home and all. Oran is a good lad and knows the time of day. We probably didn't get the straightest of runs with him the last two weeks, he had wee issues that annoyed him a bit. We were in two minds whether we were going to run him or not even. I'm delighted he did that. It was that bad a race you had to go and give him a chance. He had a very good run in Galway. I'll pick out another race. He's a local man, Victor McCrea (owner), he lives beside me and helps me out a lot all the way. He has three or four horses with me and he bought them all himself, and they are all very lucky to him. He (High Court Cave) has plenty of ability on his day - he has a point-to-point and a bumper and a hurdle. He is probably an out-and-out chaser down the line. I've no plans yet, I don't like running them too quick even though I do like to get a Listowel winner! I had it in the back of my mind and pencilled in - you might see him there on Saturday or so. I'll see what is happening, I'll not panic.

Downpatrick Sun, 10th Aug, 2025  Mrs Mc Go I was suspended the last day she won, so I was a bit gutted, but nice to get the winner today. Big thanks to Tommy McGeough as well - he owns her and trains her (rides her out) as well, but he has just been out for the past two weeks so I have just been stepping in for him. That's my third winner over jumps and hopefully a few more to come. Garry Cribbin is my agent. She kind of settles well, travels well, and just does everything you ask of her. In fairness, it is a team effort with Thomas (McGeough) that owns her and the lads. They do most of it. Tommy has been on the sidelines, so Dylan has been doing a lot of work with the horse. He was banned the last time (in Bellewstown), so it was good he got back on her this time. I said to Tommy afterwards that up to three miles she might be better again. She might still have a little bit left in her mark at that. I'm going to try and convince Tommy to take her to Cheltenham with us in October. We'll have a team for that. I think there is a three-mile race there for her. She has had two wins now, so she could have a bit of a freshen up. We can enjoy ourselves now!
