Hodd's Girl sprinting is different as they have to learn how to sprint. She was always in a hurry but wasn't able to get home. She's enjoying this surface here now. We don't do a whole lot with her at home, she doesn't take a lot of work, but you could tell by her that she was in real good form. I thought she had improved a little bit and her form was advertised with the runner-up last time winning since. I thought she'd run well. When she's in that sort of form you keep them going. She's easy enough to keep ticking away. I have her in here next week over six but I'm sure whether we'd bring her back or not. We'll see how she is. There aren't too many opportunities over five but I'll see what's coming up.

Hodd's Girl Mikey said the last day he rode her that she was drawn wide and they were just gone and she didn't know what was happening. He said if he had been drawn lower he would have been a bit closer. She had sharpened up at home since and was 4lb better off with the second horse so I was hoping she'd be placed. The penny has dropped with her now and she's learning how to sprint. She was sharp today whereas the last day she was lost when they jumped. She's a grand big filly and handles that surface. She's very straight-forward and it's good to get a bracket with her. I wasn't so sure she'd handle this as she handled a dig in the ground really well. The owners just said to kick on this year and see if we could get her to do something. It's difficult for owners keeping them in training with trying to get them into races and everything else so rather than stopping and starting her again next year we said we'd keep coming up here. She's always shown a little bit but it's just taken a while to get it all together.

Sunset Nova It was a long time coming. It's the first day he's jumped well as he's always been missing the break. Things went right today. He was always going to win one but you need luck on your side someday. I left it up to (son) Andrew how to ride him as he knows him well. It worked out and it'll keep the owners (Men Of Forty Eight Syndicate) happy.

Indiana Grey We'll have to get (owner) Ray Moore's name beside a lot more horses, he is so lucky!. He bought this filly about five runs ago and that's the second win since he got her so he'll be thrilled with himself. We had a few quid on her at 40/1 today because we thought she was in good enough order. It was atrocious ground on her last run (when last of 17 at the Curragh) and all the horses drawn on her side ran terrible. We were hoping it was that, you never know as she was on the go a long time and might have just gone over the top. Her work has been good though. Danny (Sheehy) was very good on her, very strong. Missing the kick is typical her, we thought the blinkers had stopped that because she used to do it before we put them on. That's her first time to do it badly in a while. It might have been a blessing as they went really hard up front and kind of stopped. It played to her strengths.

Ola Bonita it was a competitive race with a lot of them rated similarly. She won well and hopefully will progress again. Six furlongs is probably her trip. She saw that out well today so she might even stay seven. Andrew said he couldn’t pull her up after the line so we’re very happy with her.

Ahyoka We were delighted with that. I couldn't believe she was 10/1 this morning given her good run at the Curragh,. She's been improving all the time and she was a good buy for €600 by Niall O'Callaghan down in Cork. He was up last week and will be thrilled that she's won. She was still a bit free, that was only her fifth run. Hopefully she'll be able to carry a penalty and go on again. We fancied her coming here, we thought if we got a low draw we'd be home and hosed. She was drawn on the outside but we told Colin to go forward. There was nothing for her immediately but we're in no panic, she'll be up and down here for the winter.
