Camorra He’s a horse that was meant to go to Hong Kong but needs that ground. He travelled all the way around. Sam gave him a lovely ride and he showed a nice turn of foot to take it up. The ground is important and it’s just nice soft ground. He’s a lovely framed horse and will be a lovely four-year-old. That will probably be it for this year and he’ll be a nice horse for the spring. He’ll stay a bit further.

Maker Of Kings Sam is doing well for us, he is a really good addition this year and is fitting in really well. Since Ger released him (to ride for outside yards) he is getting plenty of experience and is very fit and for a young lad he knows his homework. We like Maker Of Kings; he was a bit feminine but has grown into himself, it has taken him this time but he will be a nice horse next year. Hopefully he'll stay on the team for us next year and I think he will winter well. He went on that ground but I think he is one of those horses who will go on any ground. I think he'll get a bit further as well. We know our horses' limits and know when to move them on and sell, but he is a horse we'd like to keep on the team.

Lady Scathach She's improving no end at the minute and she quickened up really well. She did a few bits of work early in the year like that and then she flattened off a bit but she's improving now with every run. She won over a mile on soft ground at Navan the last day, and today it was seven on good ground. She was galloping all over them a furlong down.

Lady Scathach She was very unlucky on Sunday. We probably would have went to Leopardstown (on Saturday) if she had gotten in but she did that very well there. She was a stone lighter than anything else in it and she has a nice turn of foot when things go right for her off a nice pace. She quickened up very well in Cork the other day but she just didn't get the gaps and only got going very late. I'd say she would have hacked up with a clear run. It would be nice if she was in somewhere else in a day or two but unfortunately she's not. She could be a nice one for Galway if she goes up enough to get in as she's coming into real good form at the minute.

Minaun I'm delighted with her, we've always really liked her and she is a lovely filly. Cormac Farrell recommended her for us back in March. I'm delighted for her owner Steve McCarthy and it is his and my first Group winner on the flat; he previously had Aerclub with us and we replaced him with this lady and she looks an able deputy. Hopefully she will keep progressing and Chris (Hayes) really liked her. She will definitely stay further and is from a really good Loder family. She has a Moyglare entry and is growing and maturing all the time so we won't be in a mad panic anywhere.

Soul Search She ran well in the Guineas when the ground was a bit quick for her. . That was a nice confidence booster and Colin gave her a lovely ride to make it feel like a piece of work.

Slieve Bearnagh We thought he’d go well at that level but with his inexperience it was hard to tell,. He got stronger over the winter and had a low rating. The ground and trip were in his favour and I’m delighted to get it for his owner, Paul Rooney. That’s our first winner since the comeback but they’ve been running well.

Maker Of Kings Seven furlongs is as sharp as he wants but the secret is ground for him; he'd appreciate more ease but Eddie Scally and his team here have done a top class job with the ground,. There are plenty of options for him and he could step up to a mile next and will eventually go 1m2f.
