Punchestown Sat, 2nd May, 2026  Saratoga We went a good gallop over the first four hurdles and, the boys just slowed it down down the back. This lad was travelling so easily, he made a mistake at the first down the back, so I just pulled him out for light as this hurdles. Once he had a bit of light, he was winging hurdles. We hoped he would do that and he has obviously proven himself. To win any race at the Punchestown festival is great but to win a first Grade 1 here is unbelievable, I'm over the moon. Alan Crowe recommended buying the horse through his job in Ballydoyle and Dad (Christy) convinced JP to buy him. Alan was first-jockey to Dad for years and told us if we could buy this horse, to do so. We take whatever horses we get from JP every year and I'm delighted for him, as he has always been there. In total, we only have ten or 12 jump horses and six or seven Flat ones so I'd love to get more and further outside owners. I haven't a clue where he runs next!

Punchestown Thu, 30th Apr, 2026  Beauvallon I’m delighted with that performance. He’s a horse that is improving. He wasn’t always in love with the game, but I think he’s jumping better than he’s Flat racing. We might go back on the Flat again with him this summer though. He’s going the right way and it’s a nice win for Patrick Wynn-Jones who is the manager for Barnane Stud. Himself and a few pals have this horse. They brought him back from France to give a trial to and he’s trialling well at the moment!

Punchestown Tue, 28th Apr, 2026  Powerful He is a lovely horse and we had this race in mind since he won the qualifier here last November. He had a lot of weight on his back but is a very big horse and still did it,. He a gentle giant and being a five-year-old, he could go chasing next year but I don't know yet. . He slightly struggled on heavy ground but loves that good ground and jumped really well. We have one (Punchestown winner) on the board which is great, as I don't have that many national hunt horses now.

Dundalk Wed, 1st Apr, 2026  Emmeleia She's a nice filly and we thought this trip would suit her well, plenty of stamina in the pedigree. I think she has improved. They pulled well clear of the third which is a good sign. They have been working together at home, and I thought they were both working nicely. She (Eretria) was ready to run, I was eager to get a start on her on a sound surface. She will hopefully be a nice filly going forward and she'll improve plenty from that.
