FormscanBy Gary Carson - Gordon Elliott looks dominant here and last year's winner MALA BEACH may be able to repeat the dose. He would appear to be the outsider of the trainer's trio on jockey bookings but conditions look to be coming right for the mudlark. His sole run this season came over hurdles at Gowran, which wouldn't have been ideal, and it has been a frustrating winter for connections given the dry ground. He came into this last year off a disappointing run and looks the pick at the weights if anywhere near his best. Stable-mate Jury Duty probably has the best form coming into it but hasn't run since chasing home Woodland Opera in Grade 2 company at Gowran in October. He had also run a cracker when third in the Galway Plate last summer and the trip and ground will suit but he has to give away 10lb here to Mala Beach. Don Poli, the third of the trio, hasn't looked in love with the game on his two outings this term and he would need to recapture some old spark. The mare Baie Des Iles stays well and could be given a chance despite having a bit to find on official terms.
