FormscanBy Gary Carson - CHARCOR gave weight and a beating to a decent field of three-year-olds at Gowran last time and looks capable of stepping up again here. That was a significant step forward from his debut run at Tipperary in May when he had been green first time out. He quickened nicely to score with a bit in hand last time and a mark of 92 doesn't look harsh judged on the rivals he beat then. Downdraft takes a big drop in class here after struggling in Group 1 company over in France last time. He ran a decent enough race at Royal Ascot previously though in a hot handicap and is a smart colt. He has won over seven but seemed to improve for stepping up in trip at Navan so the drop back to a mile here is a slight concern. Koybig comes into this in fine form and ran really well to chase home High Altitude here on Wednesday. He could produce another big show if that run hasn't left a mark.
