Barry seen to good effect

Fri 19th Sep 2008, 15:26

The Jet O'Carroll Memorial Novice Hurdle was won by Eoin Doyle's charge No Full with Shay Barry doing the steering for owner Mrs P Doyle.

Barry who snatched a clear led at the start of the race remained clear and stayed on well to win by an easy 11 lengths.

Eoin Doyle said afterwards, "He did it well and he's a nice horse. The key to him is to go left handed. He ran good races in defeat over fences last season including a 3rd in the Paddy Power at Leopardstown, he'll probably go for that race again this season. We'll keep him over hurdles for the moment and we'll look for a winners of one for him next."
