Terrible Beauty pulled clear in good style to given Paul Townend a double on the card at Tramore today.

The Shay Barry-trained mare won a point-to-point at Ballyragget back in March and was making her hurdling debut today having weakened late on in a Naas bumper last month.

Townend produced her to challenge long-time leader So Influential two from home in the two-mile five furlong contest.

The 12/1 shot jumped to the front over the final flight and only needed to be pushed out to record a cosy five length success.

4/5 favourite Kamil found little when asked for an effort before the second last and could only finish fifth.

Barry said:- "She won her point-to-point and got very tired after making the running in a bumper at Naas.

“Paul said the ground was very testing and that he'd take his time on her. He gave her a lovely ride as she settled well and jumped great.

"She's 17 hands and is a chasing mare. She obviously goes on that ground, and I'm delighted with that."
