Bolger completed a first and last races double at Navan today as his Vintage Charm led home a 1-2 for the trainer in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap.
Bolger was earlier successful with the Kevin Manning ridden newcomer Burning Bullet in the opener and doubled his score three and a half hours later with Vintage Charm, under Rory Cleary which beat off 11/4 favourite and stablemate Ringside Humour
Vintage Charm had failed to win in eight previous maiden starts but made a winning handicap debut today, with her battling win.
Afterwards Ger Flynn, travelling head lad and representing Bolger, stated "the addition of the tongue tie helped. Rory said that in the dip he thought he had Kevin (Manning, on Ringside Humour) beaten, and she was going on at the finish. She appreciated the ground today."
