Dylan Browne McMonagle lost his claim at Dundalk with a 95th winner in the Join On Instagram @dundalk_stadium Race on Hadman (11/8f), for his employer trainer Joseph O'Brien.

The Donegal native has had an interesting journey to this evening's landmark success and having won the Dingle Derby as a 12 year old, subsequently spent time with Tony McCoy, partnered a Group 3 winner on Baron Samedi and indeed crossed swords with Frankie Dettori on Champions Day last November.

Today the 19 year old was again seen to good effect, steering 99-rated Hadman to a length and a quarter win over Spirit And Glory

O'Brien was represented by his assistant Brendan Powell who stated “it's great for Dylan as he's lost his claim but can still ride in apprentice races for the season, which is great.

“It's great for the horse and I think the idea, by what Joseph said the other day, is that he'll probably go to Doha.

“It's about three weeks time which is ideal timing and he'll come on from that run as well. That will do him the world of good and bring him on.

“Khalif, who owns him, is from there. He spends a lot of time in Ireland with Joseph and in the UK.”
