Chasers Makes up for Ballinrobe

Thu 4th Jun 2009, 20:46

Chasers Chance the subject of a major punt when only fifth at Ballinrobe last time, redeemed himself in the Tipperary Racecourse Supporters Handicap Chase under Davy Condon.

The chestnut, equipped with cheek-pieces for the second time, was going up to two and a half miles from two miles one last time and this surely helped the point-to-point winner who held off Artic Island by three parts of a length.

Winning trainer, Eoghan O%u2019Grady said: "He likes the ground. He gets the trip well and will probably go further. He'll go for a similar race next time. We've no major plans."
