Monbeg Chit Chat completed a treble for Henry de Bromhead, and a double for Rachael Blackmore, as he ran out a comfortable winner of the feature at Tipperary this afternoon, the Tipperary Town Plaza Plate Handicap Chase.

On the mark thirty-five minutes previous with Theatre Dreams Blackmore and de Bromhead were completing a quick double at the venue, while de Bromhead was also successful earlier in the afternoon with Ornua at Newton Abbot.

Having won last time out at Punchestown, Monbeg Chit Chat was expected to follow-up today, and went off the 9/4 favourite in the colours of Gigginstown House Stud.

Settled in mid-division, the son of Kayf Tara took closer order from four out, and led before the second last, keeping on well under pressure from there to score by two and three parts of a length. Round Tower (14/1) kept on to take second under Robbie Colgan for Karl Thornton, while Fenlon's Hill was another three parts of a length back in third. Miss Sassie was still in with every chance from two out, but a mistake there put pay to her chance.

STEWARDS REPORT

B.J. Cooper, rider of Miss Sassie trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last and hacked home.
