Dundalk-stalwart Dalvey makes a return to turf in the SHEIN Cup Handicap at Leopardstown.

The six-year-old gelding arrives in Foxrock off the back of two placed efforts on the Polytrack in March.

He has a victory at Gowran Park on yielding to soft ground in the book and trainer James McAuley doesn't foresee the testing ground being an issue.

McAuley said: "It (ground) should be no bother and we'll give it a crack.

"His wind wouldn't be perfect, but it has never been perfect. That's how we got him, we knew his wind was iffy. He doesn't really get away with it over hurdles but on the Flat he gets away with it.

"To be fair, he has been holding his form. I've had my run-ins with the handicapper over the same horses beating him and I think Garry (O'Gorman, handicapper) has a point - he is too consistent for his own good. He can't really drop horses much more than a pound for finishing third.

"We'll keep tipping away with him, he actually likes racing. He goes mad in the box when he is not doing much.

"I think I have only got to run him a few times on grass. Just circumstances meant that he was racing up here (Dundalk)."

The Dansili gelding has posted four victories at Dundalk.
