Not A Bad Oul Day provided further enjoyment for his connections when capturing the 30,000 Euro Bank Of Ireland Handicap at Listowel.

Bought out of a claimer at Laytown a year ago, the Captain Rio gelding won his sixth race since joining the John Feane yard in this seven furlong heat.

Dylan Hogan made all on the five-year-old, and the 7Ib claimer asked for more two furlongs out. The 10/1 chance kept on well from over a furlong out to ward off Tribal Path by a length and a half.

For County Clare native Hogan this was an 18th winner, and a 10th of the year for the Kevin Prendergast employee.

Feane said: "They are all running well lately and we had a third, fourth and fifth out of the three horses we ran in the Premier Handicaps last weekend. A couple of English ones beat us but I'm delighted with them at the moment.

"I'm not sure where he will go next. There are a few options and there is a chance he could go to Chester in a few weeks.

"He always makes his own gallop and if they want to go with him they can. He broke them today and got away, and it's hard to get back on that ground.

"I told Dylan to keep one off the fence and he's done it perfect. There is a little highway there, although there is not much of it and it could be gone after that."
