Cheltenham Festival plans are fluid for Don Cossack following his defeat at Leopardstown on Sunday.
Gordon Elliott's seven-year-old has already claimed Grade One honours this season but could not justify even-money favouritism in the Dr. P.J Moriarty Chase at the weekend.
Don Cossack still fared creditably, beaten four lengths by Ballycasey, and is likely to appear at the Festival, where he is currently entered in four races.
Elliott told Racing UK: "We got beat by a good horse so I can't really make any excuses. I'll have a chat with the owners and see what race we should go for at Cheltenham."
