Diamonds And Dames made it third time lucky when landing the Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden for Jessica Harrington.

Shane Foley was rowing along on the Churchill filly passing the two pole but she picked up well inside the final furlong.

The 4/1 shot grabbed 2/1 favourite Dawnmore in the final 100 yards to secure a half-length victory.

The winner had shaped with promise on her first two starts and was a close fifth at Cork last time.

"They are an enthusiastic bunch (It's All About The Girls), they get a great kick out of it,” said the winning rider.

“They get a couple of fillies every year. Patrick (Cooper) buys for them. I like this filly and they have one or two others left to run.

“I thought she'd have done that the last day in Cork but I probably rode her too forward and she didn't see it out.

“I gave her more of a little chance today and the stiff seven (furlongs) probably suited her. "
