After his treble at Navan yesterday Shane Foley kept up the good work in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Thurles aboard Sacred Rhyme

The Kilkenny man is back one ahead of Colin Keane (76 — 75) in the battle to be champion jockey after winning this for his boss, Jessica Harrington, and owners Ballylinch Stud.

The victorious chestnut was building on a Cork debut fourth placing, and here she beat Emphatic Answer by three and a quarter lengths.

Never far away, Sacred Rhyme led over a furlong out, going on to register a comfortable victory.

"She had a lovely run at Cork on quick ground and I thought she'd appreciate this bit of slower ground,” said Foley.

“She improved loads from her first run and is a nice filly going forward. She could be a nice Listed filly next year."
