Alpha Centauri's trainer Jessica Harrington won the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Roscommon today, landing that opening contest with the Zhang Yuesheng owned and 5/4 favourite Invincible Karma

The son of Invincible Spirit, partnered by the owner's retained jockey Shane Foley, made all and in the end comfortably held Erich Bloch by four and a half lengths.

Afterwards Harrington said “it's great to get the maiden out of the way. He ran well enough in the Curragh and I'd say he appreciated that little bit of an ease in the ground today.

“He's won that well and I'd say we'll look at a Listed race or something like that for him now. He did that easily and he said there was plenty in the tank. I'm delighted.”
