Geraghty aims to prove his Worth

Barry Geraghty will have two good reasons to celebrate should Bobs Worth win the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham tomorrow.

The ace jockey not only rides the six-year-old, he also bought the horse as a yearling and sold him on to trainer Nicky Henderson.

Bobs Worth is favourite to take this three-mile contest on the back of a hat-trick of successes over hurdles and goes for this race rather than the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle over a shorter distance earlier in the week.

"We are going for the three-miler now and it looks a lesser race in fairness," said Geraghty.

"It's just with the drying ground, if he made a mistake he might find it hard to get back into the race and now he'll have more time to recover.

"I bought him as a yearling and sold him to Nicky as a four-year-old. Nobody has told me if there is a bonus if he wins!"

Noel Meade would like to see soft ground for his runner, Fully Funded.

"He was a very decent Flat horse in France. He's not had it easy because he had a problem with his back, but we think we've got that sorted now," said the County Meath trainer.

"He seems back to his self at home, but the problem now is he must have soft ground."
