"He didn't handle the track very well, he was hanging out and I think he will improve a lot in his head," reported Patrick Mullins after winning the Pro Paramedics In Memory Of John, Ian & Lynn (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race at Downpatrick on odds-on favourite Getareason

Getareason had appeared once in public before. He finished second in a Punchestown point-to-point in February 2017 for Warren Ewing before selling to current connections for 140,000 pounds at Tattersalls Cheltenham Sales later the same month.

Here he quickened off the home bend to put four and a quarter lengths between himself and Ruthless Article

"He was very green today and up and down the hills he just didn't handle it very well but he won despite that," elaborated Mullins on his father Willie's charge.

"I think he's a horse who will pay his way. I think he may be better in a better race with a stronger gallop."

When asked if he could be one for Punchestown, Mullins replied: "Possibly the winners' bumper in Punchestown. I'd like to see him take his chance in a winners' bumper anyway."

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the home turn involving Central Court ridden by Mr N. McParlan and Chin'up (FR), ridden by Mr S.F. O'Keeffe, where it appeared that there was contact between both horses.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

Mr D. McCorkell absented himself from this hearing.
