Trainer Jessica Harrington and stable jockey Robbie Power continued their fine recent run when landing the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Beginners Chase at Killarney today, with Gambling Girl
The daughter of Hawk Wing stretched clear of her rivals from the second last for a nine and a half lengths win over All The Sevens
Harrington was recording her seventh winner in May and her fourth successive winning runner following the successes of Flaviana, Mr Fiftyone and The Birdie Crowe in recent days while Power was riding his fourth winner in three days.
Following Gambling Girl's win, Harrington stated “she was very good and I'm delighted with her.
“She hit herself at Ballinrobe and came back in lame but I also think the ground was too soft for her; she loves rattling off top of the ground.
“Robert (Power) said that her mistake on the second one up the straight was the crowning of her as she jumped great after that.
"She'll probably run against the geldings next.”
