Indicative ends frustrating run for Wachman/Lordan
Indicative landed a good gamble (7/1 this morning into 100/30) when holding the late run of Eighteen Summers by a neck in the Tote Jackpot Guarantee Median Auction Maiden.
The 8/13 favourite Swing Pattern couldn't raise his game when required and ended up finishing a head adrift of the front pair in third place.
Ger Hourigan senior representing the winning owners said: "We're thankful to Wayne Lordan. She was entitled to that win and she is a nice little filly."
Meanwhile Wayne Lordan, rider of the David Wachman-trained winner, said: "It was getting close towards the line. She stuck at it well and handled the ground well."
Amazingly Lordan was bringing a frustrating sequence of second placings to an end. His five previous rides, all trained by Wachman, finished runner-up. He also finished second here on Sassaway on Monday and this was his first success of the Festival.
