Having won the feature race earlier on Thunder Kiss Colin Keane completed a double when Novarrosse (13/2) was a clearcut winner of the Fermoy Handicap (45-65) (DIV II).

The champion jockey bided his time in mid-division on the Worthadd filly before switching right for racing room over a furlong from home.

His mount picked up well to race clear of 10/3 favourite Mary Salome with three and a quarter lengths the margin of victory at the line.

Getting off the mark on start number eleven, the successful 4-year-old had been beaten a whisker over course and distance on her previous outing.

"She had a good run the last day and in fairness they filled me with confidence beforehand and said she had been unlucky on a few occasions," said Keane.

"She rode like a filly who could possibly be well handicapped, and while she has form on quicker ground, handled the (yielding) ground well and hopefully they can have more fun with her.

"That's only my second ride for Pat and my first winner."
