On her third run this month, Lunar Display registered a second career success, as she claimed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Hurdle.

Successful at Tipperary in May, the Joseph O'Brien trained five-year-old finished a close third to Mrs Milner in a Listed contest at Limerick on her last start.

Available at 9/2 in early shows, the chestnut victor was eventually sent off an 11/4 chance in the colours of the Annus Mirabilis Syndicate.

Settled behind the leaders by JJ Slevin, she took closer order from three out and improved to lead as they approached the straight.

Sent clear before the last, she came home a length-and-a-quarter to the good despite a sloppy jump at the last. Queens Brook who was sent off the 11/10 favourite, kept on well on the run-in without ever really threatening the winner.

The market leader had to settle for second under Jack Kennedy, while Say Goodbye was another twenty-five lengths back in third.

"It's probably as slow as she would want it out there," Slevin revealed.

"She had a very good run the last day in Limerick, she is progressing away and is a decent mare.

"She will probably try and get more black type, even though she has some already. She beat a good mare today in Queens Brook."
