McNamara back on a winning groove
Jockey Andrew McNamara partnered his first winner since returning from an injury sustained at Navan on May 18 when partnering Marseillais to win the featured Coffey Construction Handicap Chase at a wet Limerick this afternoon.
McNamara received severe concussion from a fall from Fen Game at Navan and returned to action at Perth last Wednesday.
McNamara, 25, partnered Marseillais to win for his retained trainer, Edward O´Grady, and the Limerick rider´s front running ride on the somewhat enigmatic gelding was flawless.
´He is obviously a funny horse and takes a bit of understanding. Andrew gets on with him well and its a case of horses for courses as he has won here before,´ said O?Grady.
