Willie and Patrick Mullins wrapped up a fantastic Christmas festival meeting at Leopardstown when landing the fourth bumper of the meeting with The Nice Guy

The Fame And Glory gelding had won on his debut at Fairyhouse last month and showed a nice attitude to follow up in today's winners' contest.

Patrick Mullins, recording a double on the day after the big race win on Sharjah produced his mount to lead inside the final furlong.

The even-money favourite held the late challenge of Dorans Weir to record a three-parts-of-a-length win.

“That's tremendous for Patrick to win the four bumpers, it's a good thing he's on our team and we don't have to pitch up against him everyday,” said Mullins.

“I thought we had a real good bumper team, and I think Patrick felt the same, so we're very happy.

“We were going to go jumping but he would have to take on Sir Gerhard, Kilcruit or something like that as the hurdles are just so hot so we looked at a winners bumper. I thought we'd stick him in here and see what it turns out like.

“I'm delighted to get two bumpers out of him, he's six turning seven so he'll probably go jumping in the New Year.

“He's just been a bit weak, every time I got stuck into him he faded away a little bit and it's taken all this time for him to mature. He's probably more a hurdler than a chaser.”
