Menwaal ran out a 1 ? winner at odds of 7/1 under Paul Townend to land The Naas October Handicap for trainer Michael Murphy.

Townend raced his mount in behind the leaders, improved to lead over 1f out and kept on well to hold off the efforts of Tim Doyle's Jumbo Rio
