Muzak gained his third victory at Ballinrobe when following up his 2012 win in the Corrib Oil Handicap Chase, taking this year's renewal in the hands of Robbie Dunne.

Bred and trained by Mayo native John Monroe and owned by the Downtown Syndicate, the ten-year-old has been a fabulous servant for the Galway-based publican and the roan son of Moscow Society evidently goes on all types of ground. He now has five victories to his name – including at the Festival in Ballybrit in August of last year.

Eight to one on this occasion, Muzak took over from the pace-setting Decade Player (that one eventually fell at the last) two out and he eventually crossed the line seven lengths in front of Boxer Beat

Busy accepting his prize and preparing for his couple of runners in the last Monroe merely proclaimed: "He's some little horse!" (DM & EM)
