No Mistake by Uncle This Time
Still just holding the call when departing at the second last hurdle at the Christmas Festival here, Uncle Tom Cobley made no mistake on a return visit to Limerick, despite proving easy enough in the market for the opener.
The Gigginstown House Stud owned 6/1 shot made all and shook off the challenge of Mickey Blue Eyes to prevail by three lengths. Niki O'Shea did the steering.
Winning trainer, Conor O'Dwyer said: "He deserved that after falling here at Christmas and he has always shown us a bit at home. He is a bit immature and should be a nice horse next year."
Well-backed favourite, Knocklayde Vic (5/2 in the morning into 11/8) could manage only third, twelve lengths further back. (EM)
