Stones Peak recorded her third win this season when taking the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap in convincing fashion.

Ronan Whelan has been aboard for all three of those victories, and he produced the five-year-old mare to head fellow 6/1 chance Kateeva inside the final furlong for a length and three quarters winning margin. Dash Back (8/1) was three quarters of a length back in third, with 7/2 favourite Ondeafears keeping on well another half a length adrift in fourth.

Winning trainer Pat Martin said, “She is just a different filly this year. She’s stronger and Ronan gets on well with her.

“She handles soft ground really well, and she’s tiny but has a big heart.”
