Punters cash in on Mujaazef
Following a number of reverses earlier in the afternoon, punters certainly got it right in the Jet O'Carroll Memorial Median Auction Maiden where Mujaazef landed some hefty bets when scoring in good style for Kevin Prendergast and Declan McDonogh.
Those shopping early on track helped themselves to a bit of 6/4 but those odds tumbled to 8/11 at the off, and supporters had few worries in the seven furlongs event. The Dubawi colt led over a furlong out, and was pushed out to beat Kristal Komet by three lengths. Astrakham showed some promise on her debut, with the Dermot Weld-trained filly making steady headway from halfway after a slow start and showed some signs of greenness before staying on well to finish just three quarters of a length further adrift in third.
