Ramondo Dnzeo stayed on strongly to land the Follow Us On Twitter Maiden Hurdle at Cork.

Trained by John Ryan, the son of Libertarian had run well when third over a similar trip at Tipperary on his most recent start.

Always travelling nicely under Donagh Meyler, the five-year-old led after three out and was always holding the challenge of Misty's Gift

The latter horse was untidy at the second last hurdle but could never bridge the gap to the Ryan trained gelding who looked well suited to the 3m.

Donagh Meyler said; "he is improving the whole time and I was down in John's (Ryan) last week and he did a nice bit of work. It is great to see him on the up and improving.

"Hopefully he will go on and even by looking at him he has a lot of strengthening up to do. I always said from day one that he wouldn't be a horse until he jumps a fence.

"He goes away on that ground, jumps really well and he is a dour stayer."

He added "Mick (Walsh) is a character and it is great to be involved with him. He has a few horses in training with John and he loves the game so it is great to see him with winners."
