David Casey got a tremendous tune out of Rayhani as the pair hunted down Davy Russell and Claragh Native in the Heinz Pollmeier Memorial Handicap Chase at Tramore.

Claragh Native looked to be making the best way home when he forged clear after hitting the front before the second last, however, a super jump at the last enabled Rayhani to land full of running and he quickly motored past Claragh Native to win by two lengths at 20/1.

“They went fast. James told me to drop him in and it worked out well,” David Casey said.

James Nash was in Dundalk. He trains Rayhani for his father Francis.

Three of the nine runners were pulled up – Deputy Consort Glenstar and Decade Player - as the pace took its toll.
