Rock makes it eight time lucky over fences
Baily Rock put some disappointing efforts behind him to win on his eight start over fences for Mouse Morris & Andrew McNamara in the Black Point Beginners Chase.
The Supreme Leader gelding, who was sent off at 12/1, led from three out and was unchallenged from then on. He made a slight mistake at the last but was eased at the finish as he came home an easy four length winner from No One Tells Me the 3/1jfav in second. The other joint favourite Wikaala finished a disappointing tenth.
Winning trainer Mouse Morris stated afterwards “He did it well today in fairness to him. He is a summer horse and will probably go for a winners of one or handicap chase next.”
This was Baily Rock’s fifth career win, having won his maiden hurdle at Punchestown, a hurdle at Tipperary and two handicap hurdles at Leopardstown & Gowran respectively.
