Bottom-weight Something Sweet made use of her ten stone one impost to take the Ballagh Mares Handicap Hurdle for trainer Roger McGrath and jockey Phillip Enright at Thurles.
A consistent daughter of Mahler, the victorious seven-year-old jumped the last better than Minx Tiara She was soon in control, going away to win by five and a half lengths.
"She deserved her day and her recent form had been franked. She has been very genuine and bang in there the whole time and everything went her way today," reasoned McGrath.
The Tinniscart House, Aglish, Cappoquin County Waterford operator added: "We might go over fences and we'll have to keep her to Thurles as it is close to an all-weather and we won't have better ground for her this winter. She is learning to handle softer ground better as she gets stronger and she might come back here in a fortnight's time for a mares' maiden chase or another hurdle."
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Whatucallher trained by Edward P. Harty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
Edward P.Harty, trainer of Whatucallher, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge coughed post race.
