Success Days proved strongest in the closing stages to land the spoils in the rated race at Cork this afternoon.

9/4 favourite Postulation aiming to give Dermot Weld a quick double, took them along in the extended mile contest.

He was tackled by Success Days at the two furlong pole and Ken Condon's charge got on top inside the final furlong for a length success.

The 7/2 winner was last seen when a well-held fifth in Listed company at Leopardstown last October. He had previously won a maiden at Gowran.

"It's good to see quite a few of these races and this was the plan all spring and winter," said Condon.

"We ran him in a Listed race at the end of last season but he got trapped out wide. These races are important for the development of horses like him and there are eight or ten of these races.

"He wants an ease but Shane (Foley) said it is very extreme out there. He relaxed well and seems to have grown up and will get an entry in the Ballysax Stakes next."

Joseph O'Brien finished last of the five runners on East India as he made his return to the Flat. He said afterwards: - "My weight is good and I'm looking forward to riding again later."
