The Ken Condon-trained Strait Of Zanzibar recorded the tenth win of his career with a game effort to prevail in a tight finish to the mile handicap at Listowel, giving Shane Foley a double on the card.

Fellow veteran Hurricane Twister cut out the running and was strongly pressed turning for home by Strait Of Zanzibar.

The pair battled it out the length of the straight with Plough Boy finishing well to join in close home.

Strait Of Zanzibar gained a head success at the line from Plough Boy with just another head back to Hurricane Twister.

"He has been a great servant and runs day-in, day-out. When things go his way he does it but minds himself when things don't and he's a character,” said Foley.

"Ken has done a great job and has kept him on the go and that's ten wins now. He never misses a beat and is also a good lead horse in the morning!"
