This year's Galway Hurdle winning trainer Tony Martin was on the mark in the BetVictor Bet E5 Get E30 Offer Handicap at Dundalk today as his The Mouse Doctor registered a fourth career win.
Carrying the colours of Martin's 2016 Melbourne Cup runner-up Heartbreak City, for the Here For The Craic Partnership, The Mouse Doctor today arrived from off the pace when beating Sheberghan by a length and a half under jockey Colin Keane.
Afterwards Martin, successful with Tudor City in this year's Galway Hurdle, today reported “he’s (The Mouse Doctor)consistent and is in great order. Things didn’t quite go his way when fourth here last time but they went his way tonight.
“We’ll probably give him a run in Leopardstown next week if he comes out of this alright. At least he’s shown a bit and he likes top of the ground.”
