The Irish Stallion Farms EBF 2-y-o Maiden went to Manu Et Corde (13/2) in the hands of Kevin Manning.

The Teofilo colt, making a quick reappearance after finishing ninth of ten at the Curragh last weekend, tracked the front-running Canters Well before responding to pressure to hit the front inside the final furlong.

He stayed on well to beat Amortentia (10/3) and Stone Age (3/1) by three quarters of a length and half a length.

Ger Flynn, travelling head lad to winning trainer Jim Bolger, said: “We've always liked him and he's probably a horse for next year over middle distances.

“He shows plenty of speed at home. He wasn't beaten that far first time out behind Atomic Jones.

“The last day at the Curragh the gates opened, he got a bit of a fright and he got left.

“Kevin tried to let him get into the race and when the race was over he was only getting going. He was only beaten less than four-and-a-half lengths.

“We weren't disappointed with him as he kinda lost his race at the start.

“Today he jumped, Kevin said he travelled really well, and he galloped away to the line. Today he showed us what we thought he would show us the first day.

“He's a horse for the future. He handled that ground well and gallops away well. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards with him.”
