Vermeer paints pretty picture
Ninety minutes after Maurice Utrillo opened Aidan O'Brien's account for the day, and less than an hour after Rip Van Winkle's Group 1 success at Ascot, Jan Vermeer s win at Gowran today made it three wins for the day for Team Ballydoyle, when impressively winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
Jan Vermeer, who made all for an impressive win, was completing a double for jockey Seamie Heffernan.
Heffernan later reported “Jan Vermeer won well and I liked his attitude. He had a nice run at The Curragh on his debut, and while he obviously has to come forward from this, he is giving all the right vibes.”
