Boss Croaker overcame an eight-month lay-off when coming out on top in an exciting finish to the Promote Your Business At Fairyhouse In 2015 Handicap Chase.
Robert Tyner 's charge, previously successful in a point-to-point and two staying handicap hurdles, was proven over the 3m1f trip and that was vital in a three-way tussle from the last.
There was drama at the penultimate fence where the prominent The Tinker Molly fell and brought down Fennis Moll
Boss Croaker and Windy Millie held a narrow advantage over long-time leader Western Promise at the last, and the latter got squeezed slightly between horses on the run-in.
Phillip Enright 's mount just proved the stronger in the closing stages as the 7/1 chance (from 9's) beat 11/4 favourite Windy Millie by half a length, with Western Promise another two and a half lengths adrift in third.
Tyner's wife Mary said, "That'll keep the lads happy. Joe Walsh was involved in the syndicate and I'll put the win down to him.
"He's a tough devil and will probably go for something similar now. Probably Punchestown, not the festival but the meeting there in the middle of next month. He likes the better ground and we put him away for it.
"Hopefully he'll keep going for the summer."
Former minister for agriculture Joe Walsh, who died last November, was a member of the successful Clonakilty Racing Club.
