< La Collina sprung a 33-1 surprise to take the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh for the Kevin Prendergast yard.

Beaten a neck by easy Debutante Stakes winner Maybe on her previous start, the juvenile looked to have plenty to do entering the final two furlongs of the Group One contest as she was still in rear.

But the gaps came at just the right time and she produced a smart turn of foot as Declan McDonogh weaved his way through to collar hot favourite Power close home and win by a neck, with Tough As Nails third.

Maybe (5-4 favourite) kept her unbeaten record intact as she stormed away with the Group Two Keeneland Debutante Stakes under a confident ride from Joseph O'Brien.

The Ballyoyle filly sat in second behind her stablemate Chieftess and when O'Brien pressed the button two furlongs out she soon hit the front and stretched clear to win by an impressive two and a half lengths.

Jim Bolger's admirable filly Banimpire registered her sixth victory of the season with a gutsy performance in the Group Two Keeneland Royal Whip Stakes.

Kevin Manning settled the 4-5 favourite in rear, and she swept into the lead approaching the final furlong before holding the peristent challenge of Dunboyne Express by three-quarters of a length.

The Patrick P O'Leary Memorial Phoenix Sprint Stakes went to the James Fanshawe-trained Deacon Blues (4-11 favourite), who led just over a furlong out under Johnny Murtagh and won as he pleased by seven lengths.

Aidan O'Brien introduced a promising juvenile in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden in Was (9-2), who travelled sweetly for Joseph O'Brien before going clear in the final furlong to beat stablemate Cabin by two and a half lengths.

Jadey Pietrasiewicz was allowed a huge lead on Danehill Tapdancer (9-2) in a farcical Fegentri World Championship Race for lady riders and John Hayden's four-year-old kept going to win by six lengths.
