Dermot Weld continued his domination of the Galway Festival with a treble on day two at Ballybrit.

The master of Rosewell House saddled two winners for leading owner Dr Lambe, including Stunning View in the valuable Topaz Mile EBF Handicap.

Something of an also-ran in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot last month, the colt was not without support on only his second try at a mile, and the 7-1 joint-favourite didn't disappoint under Pat Smullen.< Royal Blue Star tried to make all and stuck to his task valiantly but it was all in vain as the strong-travelling Stunning View swooped late for a two-length score.< Rainforest Magic (5-1), representing the same owner, trainer and jockey had earlier returned to Flat action in style in the Topaz Handicap.

Out of luck in maiden hurdles earlier in the year, the gelded son of Montjeu relished the two-mile trip back on the level, taking it up on the turn and readily pulling four and a half lengths clear of Striking Force < Catch The Eye completed the hat-trick for Weld and Smullen with a demolition job in the Caulfieldindustrial.com EBF Maiden.

Weld and Mahaazen had to settle for third in the Caulfieldindustrial.com EBF Fillies Maiden, with Soon (13-2) just edging out Redoutable in a head-bobbing finish.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained winner, ridden by Seamie Heffernan, held sway by a head.

Niall Madden produced Princeton Plains with a perfectly-timed run to land the opening Topaz Novice Hurdle.

Market Leader London Bridge kicked on after taking the penultimate flight but the 7-2 winner, trained by Eddie Harty, reeled him in and went on to win by a length and a half.

A sustained late challenge from Dessie Hughes's 9-2 shot Sarteano saw the grey land the Latin Quarter Chase by two lengths, while Johnny Murtagh was seen to great effect producing Edward Lynam's Iron Major (7-1) at the perfect moment to win the Caulfield Industrial Athlone Handicap.
